Alnico magnet alloy is largely comprised of Aluminum, Nickel, Cobalt and Iron. Alnico is a moderately expensive magnet material because of the Cobalt and Nickel content, but it is featured by excellent temperature stability, high residual induction, and relatively high energies, so still is a very popular magnet in variety industrial applications.
Alnico is available in both cast and sintered forms. Sintered Alnico offer slightly lower magnetic properties but better mechanical characteristics than cast Alnico. These materials are brittle, hard and cannot effectively be machined by conventional techniques other than by grinding.
In GMAG, we offer standard Alnico magnets and costumed magnets as your special request.
Applications:
Electron tubes, radar, travelling wave tubes.
Separators, holding magnets, coin acceptors, ditches and bearings.
Motors, generators, meters, instruments, controls, relays, watt-hour meters.
Communications, receivers, telephones, microphones, bell ringers, musical instruments.
Automotive sensors, loudspeakers, cow magnets, distributors.
